ABOUT US
In 1940 a hot dog stand was erected along the Hamburg Turnpike. Opened during a time when leisurely family drives and mom-and-pop style restaurants were commonplace, this "Maple Snack Bar" quickly became the go-to stop for hungry travelers venturing to the many parks and lakes nearby.
In 1973, when the roadside stand was expanded, "McCobb's Family Restaurant" was born, and to this day its Texas-style franks and homemade chili sauce remain staples of its classic, all-American comfort food fare.
With an outdoor patio overlooking the fisherman-friendly, trout-stocked Ramapo River, dozens of premium ice cream flavors, and an Aquatic Park that boasts a boat-launch with direct access to the water for kayaks, McCobb's maintains its commitment to friendly, family fun and mid-twentieth century nostalgia.
