McCobb's Aquatic Park

McCobb’s Aquatic Park is aka the slack water canal of The Old Morris Canal Towpath. It’s part of the 3 Rivers Trail where the video brings you to man-made spillways in the Pequanock River. The water becomes super clean when you enter the Pequanock from the Pompton & Ramapo Rivers as the Wanaque Reservoir feeds the Pequanock. It’s a natural, hidden, treasure and gives a view of a mode of transportation long gone before rail roads were constructed. The NJDEP stock McCobb’s Aquatic Park as well as, the Ramapo & Pompton Rivers with Brook, Rainbow, and Brown Trout from their fisheries, one in Warren, N.J.. The Pequanock River Coalition float stock fish in the Pequanock and has a map of the 3 Rivers Trail (put out & take out points). Although The Old Morris Canal Towpath has been abandoned for over 100 years, neither the municipalities, the counties, or even the state of New Jersey have jurisdiction over these water ways. Since 1922, only The Old Morris Canal & Banking Company acting as Trustee for the state has jurisdiction because they renew their charter every year.
